Many of you are already using Twitter to send out Tweets about your business, what you are doing, new blog posts, etc. I mainly use Twitter to post my new blog posts or webpages that I create on my sites. I also use it as a way to get the word out about my blog giveaways that I host on my blog.

Up until yesterday, I had only heard that you could make money with Twitter. Yesterday after finding out that IZEA had a program to make money with Twitter, I was not really looking for a way to monetize it. I am a big fan of IZEA’s other programs because I have made a huge amount of money with them. It is a company that I trust and know works for me. IZEA has a program called Sponsored Tweets.

With Sponsored Tweets, you are paid to send out a Tweet to your followers. You must have a minimum amount of 200 followers to be accepted. Many of you have way more than this. When you join Sponsored Tweets, you will be able to set a price you want to charge per Tweet. It does recommend a price based upon your current Twitter stats. So far, I just am going to go with what they suggest. I may decide to lower it a little because I read that this could increase your chances of more paid Tweets. They also have a referral program where you can earn 10% of your referrals income they generate with the program too!

If you on Twitter and have a large amount of followers already, this might be a great way to make some extra money. I would not expect to get rich from it, but anything helps these days!
