I am one that knows from personal experience that sometimes it is hard to find topics for content for your blog. There will be times when you can’t seem to find anything to blog about. One thing I do is keep a folder in my bookmarks for my blogs. When I come across something interesting online that might work with one of my blogs, I bookmark that page to come back to later. I actually have quite a few websites in my bookmarks for ideas.
One of the best ways to find content for your blog is to bookmark and subscribe to blogs in your niche. I have a folder in my bookmarks called “Blogs I Like”. This is where all the blogs I like to read are kept. Now my list sometimes gets big so when a blog stops updating or providing content I like, I remove it. I try to visit these blogs often to get ideas and also leave comments to help gain incoming links to my blogs. When you find a post you like, you might want to use it for an idea or write about it and use a trackback in your post.
Don’t like to write? You can also find a reprint article directory and search for articles in your niche. These articles can be used on your blog as long as you give credit to the author. If you don’t want to give credit to the author you might want to purchase some “PLR articles“. These articles would allow you to publish the article on your blog and put your name as the author or give it no author at all.
One of my favorite ways to help me find ideas is surfing the web with StumbleUpon. There are other social bookmarking websites too such as Digg, Technorati, Facebook, Google Bookmarks, etc. These sites are a fun way to find websites of interest. They also can generate free traffic to your blog if you learn how to use them to your advantage. When using these types of sites, browse the popular searches and you are sure to find plenty of ideas for your blog posts.
Like to create conversation? You can start a cross blog conversation. By doing this, you talk about another blogger and link to their blog. You can ask them a question or what not. Then when they login and see their incoming links, they will see your post and might just write a post back in response to your question.
The last thing I might recommend is visiting the popular news sites such as MSN, Fox News, CNN, etc. These are websites that have hot topics on what is going on in the world now. If you like to blog about the current news, this is definitely a way to find some ideas. You might also want to subscribe to a reader if they have one so you will have posts coming to you in your inbox instead of surfing the websites.

Very resourceful post – lots of great ideas here! I especially like the cross blog conversations, and also continuing a topic and placing a trackback to the blog post that inspired the discussion.
