I am one that knows from personal experience that sometimes it is hard to find topics for content for your blog. There will be times when you can’t seem to find anything to blog about. One thing I do is keep a folder in my bookmarks for my blogs. When I come across something interesting online that might work with one of my blogs, I bookmark that page to come back to later. I actually have quite a few websites in my bookmarks for ideas.
One of the best ways to find content for your blog is to bookmark and subscribe to blogs in your niche. I have a folder in my bookmarks called “Blogs I Like”. This is where all the blogs I like to read are kept. Now my list sometimes gets big so when a blog stops updating or providing content I like, I remove it. I try to visit these blogs often to get ideas and also leave comments to help gain incoming links to my blogs. When you find a post you like, you might want to use it for an idea or write about it and use a trackback in your post.

For me, I go the easy route and use the Paypal Shopping Cart on my websites. Some of you will need more than what the Paypal cart can offer though. Below are a few of the popular e-commerce shopping carts that you might be interested in:
ZenCart – This is a FREE and user friendly open source shopping cart that is easy to install. They also support multiple payment and shipping options. Lots of options and features with support available.
osCommerce – A FREE online shopping cart that offers a variety of features. It allows the webmaster to setup the cart with ease. Also allows multiple currencies.
StoreSprite – A FREE and powerful PHP/MYSQL shopping cart with no limits! Easy to install, customize and maintain!

Have you heard about Google Alerts? This is not something new, it actually has been around for quite some time and is something I enjoy reading. With Google Alerts you can receive email notifications when Google finds/indexes something that you are looking for. For example, I am always interested in what sites are linking to me. I get Google Alerts with new links on Google that contain my link. I have also setup Google Alerts to send me notifications anytime a webpage has my name “Stefani Partin” listed. Now most of these links with my name will be something that I did, but sometimes not. I find it a very neat tool. You can find out more by visiting http://www.google.com/alerts
* You will want to add your Adsense code to pages that are rich in content. Having a good amount of text with good keywords will help improve your click through rate. This will also help the PSA (public service ads) being shown on your page.
* Remove your Adsense code from pages that do not perform well. Pages that get high traffic with few clicks could hurt you.
* Mess around with the placement of your ads on your website. You won’t believe the impact it can make with a simple change. Try placing your ads above the fold meaning your ads should show before you have to scroll down. Use a channel to track which ads are performing best.
* Try matching the color of your ads with the color of your site so they blend in. Remove the border so it looks less like an advertisement.
* Place your Adsense code on high profile areas of your websites.
* Keep your website pages to one topic. Use as many rich keywords as you can.

Okay, I have to admit that I am not to hip when it comes to CSS. I know what it is but am not too good at messing around with it. I will usually open a css file to find a font or color used to match something. I bookmarked a post with some CSS tricks that you might be interested in. The post is titled “Most Used CSS Tricks“. When I sit down and figure CSS one day I will have some tricks I can pull out my bookmarks.
Now this is too cute. I would never had thought up such a thing. I am kinda wanting to buy one. This tiny vacuum plugs into your usb port and keeps your desk dust and crumb free. Might be a great gift for that person that has everything.
