Yesterday I found the site Social Marker and wanted to give it a shot. It is a free service designed to reduce the time and effort needed to socially bookmark a site/page on multiple bookmarking services. It allows you to select up to 47 different bookmarking services of your choice. My goal was to do all 47. I thought that it was going to take about an hour to do this. WRONG! It took me all morning, afternoon and evening. That is with several breaks, checking email, etc. I really didn’t get much done other then using this FREE tool. [Read more...]
Looking For More Traffic
I want more traffic to this blog. I normally spend all my time creating and updating my websites and blogs, rather than build one and promote it. I usually just let the good ole search engines find my sites. I will usually try to get them indexed by adding a link to the new site on one or more of my other sites. This has worked fine until now. I just want MORE traffic. I am going to start posting my stats. I think this will help me increase my traffic because if I am always looking at my stats, I might see what is working. [Read more...]
Scratchback – My Fancy Tip Jar
Have you heard of Scratchback? It is a cool tip jar plugin for WordPress. It’s not new, I seen it back in February. It is new to this blog though. If you look in the menu bar to the right, you will see a orange graphic “Are You In My Top Spots”. What this does is allow you to leave me a tip for my blog and get a link back to your site at the same time. The plugin is very easy to use too. You go to their site and signup for a FREE account. Then you create a widget for your blog. You will be given some code to place on your blog and you are ready to roll. In just a few minutes, you can have your own tip jar on your blog too!
When you receive a tip, you will receive 90% and Scratchback gets 10%. Sounds pretty fair to me. I have seen this plugin on many other blogs with the spots filled up, so it works!
Free Computer Tutorials With Pictures
Are you one that doesn’t like to read directions. I admit that I don’t like to read directions. When I am looking through a shopping catalog and see something that says “assembly required”, I usually don’t think too much about ordering it. If there is assembly that is required or instructions to be read, let there be pictures too! I came across a website that offers various computer tutorials with pictures.
Here is the link: http://inpics.net/index.html
Some include Microsoft Office, Openoffice, Dreamweaver, Photoshop Elements and more.
Make Money Writing Reports!
I have some exciting news for those of you that like to write or want to write. How about something for those that want to get paid to write? I am sure you have seen everywhere for sale online, different reports on different topics. I myself have purchased internet niche reports and ebooks. I have quite a collection on my hard drive.
Well, guess what? These digital products SELL. They sell especially well when you sell them for only $7.00. Just think of multiple $7.00 payments in your Paypal account throughout the day. Believe me, they add up. I have been wanting to create these small niche reports myself but didn’t know where to begin. I was recommend by a fellow internet marketing friend the report “Write That Report“. This will tell you exactly what you need to do to write these small reports and make lots of money with them. You don’t even have to have a website to make money doing this. Thinking you don’t know what to write about? That isn’t a problem, the report I am telling you about will tell you how to find topics to write about. I am actually in the process of writing a report about blogging using the ideas I found from this report RIGHT NOW! [Read more...]
Backup Your Important Stuff
I can’t stress how important it is to backup your data on your computer. I am not talking about everything on your computer, just the files that have value to you. I have switched computers in the past and have lost files and especially photos that I will never get back again. Ever since digital cameras came into play, I don’t use a regular camera that takes film that often. Now I did recently use some disposable cameras when I had my son in January. This is only because my digital camera needs a new cord. Anyhow, backing up your computer’s files you don’t want to LOSE is important. [Read more...]
